Otis C. Tilton, son of Caleb and Lucy (Sanborn) Tilton was born about 1827 at Rockingham County, New Hampshire.

Otis married Sarah Ann Lamprey, daughter of Eli and Hannah (Sanborn) Lamprey before 1855 in New Hampshire.

Six children were born to this union:
1. Unknown Infant Tilton (1855-1855) Born and died at Hampton, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.
2. Lucie H. (Tilton) Curler (1856-1929) Born at Sheffield, Bureau County, Illinois.
3. John Davis Tilton (1862-1935) Born at Geneseo, Henry County, Illinois.
4. Edward B. "Edwin" Tilton (1864-1932) Born in Illinois.
5. Henrietta Carrie "Etta" (Tilton) Stroup (1866-1927) Born in Illinois.
6. Edith L. (Tilton) Bell (1873-1946) Born in Illinois.

Will of Caleb Tilton (father of Otis):
Will made 04 February 1873 at Hampton Falls, Rockingham County, New Hampshire
"I give and bequeath to my son Otis C. Tilton of Grennell State of Iowa four hundred dollars to have and to hold and his heirs and assigns forever."

Otis died Intestate 12 June 1876 at Grinnell, Poweshiek County, Iowa.

Sarah was granted Administration Papers for his estate 03 July 1876 at Poweshiek County, Iowa.

Sarah Ann married again after Otis died to William Stewart, 19 April 1882 at Henry County, Illinois.

Note: There is quite a gap between the second child born and the third child born, possible other children were born but did not survive?
