I am searching for info on John M Tilton Married Lydia Sherman 25 Sept 1847 in Freetown MA. Children Abigail bl 1853, Ellen b. 1857 born MA. ORRICK b. 1859 in NY Andrew b . 1862 and Emma Jane b. 1865 in Michigan.
My father in law is George Gill whose mother was Bessie Tilton d/o Orrick and Laura Jackson McClellan. The Gill side of the family is pretty easy to find but the Tiltons are difficult. Its possible that John belongs to the Tiltons of Marthas Vineyard but I have not been able to locate any information on his parents. Any help would be appreciated.

Lydia married John Moody Tilton, son of Josiah Batchelder Tilton and Nancy Adams, on 25 Sep 1847 in Freetown Massachusetts. (John Moody Tilton was born on 8 Dec 1826 in Newbury Essea Massachusetts and died in 1846 in Parker River Newbury Mass.)
