Hello! I was blown away when I saw your website. I was looking up my grandfather recently and found him listed in a book called Prominent Families of New Jersey, Volume 2. That site was helpful in finding my great grandparents names, but then I saw your site and wow! You have my father listed as well as my mother and brother. My dad is Robert Lansing Tilton, son of Roy Hutchinson Tilton and Libby "Grace" Richtmeyer Tilton. My grandmother never went by Libby even though that was her actual first name. My mother is Betty Barbour Tilton, her maiden name was Betty Jane Barbour.

83, passed away Thurs., Jan. 16, 2014, at her home in Zelienople. Betty was born Nov. 15, 1930, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Edna (Jacobe) and John K. Barbour. She grew up in Beechview and was a 1948 graduate of South Hills High School. She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1952 and worked many years as a home economics teacher. Betty maintained a lifelong love of learning and was always keenly interested in health and nutrition. Betty was a dedicated and loving wife and mother. She was married to her husband Robert L. Tilton for 48 years and he preceded her in death in Nov. 2004. They lived much of their married life and raised their children in Wexford/Marshall Twp., PA. Betty and Robert were charter members of Wexford Presbyterian Church and Betty was an active church and community volunteer. She was a worldwide traveler and enjoyed staying active, both physically and mentally, throughout her life. Betty will be remembered as a devoted mother by her children, Keith (Kay) Tilton of Zelienople, Lisa (Gary) Treible of York, PA, Gail (Michael) Peck of Columbus, GA, and Amy (Gerard) ElChaar of Vienna, WV. She was dearly loved by her ten grandchildren and will be missed by nieces, nephews, and her surviving in-laws. Visitation will be held at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 415 East Grandview Ave., Zelienople, at 10:00 a.m. on Sat., Jan. 25, 2014, a Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Private interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies to honor Betty and Robert, a World War II veteran. The family has suggested memorial donations be made to Sjogrens Syndrome Foundation, the Calvin Presbyterian Church, Zelienople or the Wexford Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are by the A. CARL KINSEY-RONALD N. VOLZ FUNERAL HOME, Zelienople. Additional information may be obtained at:
