Born In Holmdel, son of the late Charles and Lydia Sutphin Tilton, he was propritetor of a farm implement company in Marlboro prior to his retirement.
Survibing are two sons, J Edward and Roy S Tilton both of Marlboro; two brothers Minor Tilton, Red Bank, and Harold Tilton, Middletown; a sister, Mrs Harold Weiderholt, Lincroft, and three grandchildren.
Services are being held today at 2:p.m. at the Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold. burial will be in Holmdel Cemetery. Matawan Journal 29 Sept 1960.
He was buried in Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel Monmouth Co New Jersey 21 no stone, Charles and Lydia Tilton Plot.
